An Introduction

Everyone has their shameful stack of films that they still haven’t seen. It’s the thing that most of us struggle with — staying up to date with the films that are coming out while also acknowledging the classics that led us here today.

I decided I’ve waited too long to see a lot of these films — some that might upset you, and some that upset me. I needed a push, so I decided to start a bi-weekly column.

Every two weeks I’ll be putting out a review of some sort to talk about a film that I’ve watched for the first time. I am both excited to find a reason to dive in but also scared when people find out my blind spots. I spent my evening figuring out 100 films that I haven’t seen yet that I think I should have. I might post this list here so you can potentially track my progress, or make suggestions on what I watch next or what I should add. I won’t be going in order as I made my list alphabetical, instead, I’ll pick a number at random — but I’ll still be listening to suggestions.

I hope you’re excited about this odd journey.

I started this column on Substack but decided to move it here instead.
